Busted out the rollers last night. Didn’t feel good enough to head to the Y, but didn’t feel lazy enough to sit on my duff. 30 minutes, 17 MPH average. Not that that means a whole lot.
We rearranged the basement over the summer, so my spot to run the rollers close to the wall doesn’t exist any longer. Getting moving on the bike was kind of scary, but somehow I managed not to break my neck.
Well, that’s about it. Go check out Complete Running – Mark and Aaron have overhauled it. Find someone else’s running blog to run with. Ha, ha, get it? “Run with”? It’s a pun, see?
ADDENDUM
Managed to avoid any and all butter cookies yesterday. Oh, yeah.
Do you ever read the Fat Cyclist’s blog? He did a post about riding off his rollers that had me laughing so hard I thought I’d get diet pepsi on the keyboard. Don’t get too involved in movies down there – I enjoy your posts! :-)
Good job on the butter cookies. I did not have any either. Of course, I never have any so it was no accomplishment on my end.
neca, do you have a link to that post? I don’t know the fat cyclists blog.
your will power has mine beat by a mile on the cookie thing. Thanks for the plug!
I need to try rollers some time. I hear so much about them. Won’t buy a set. You know I love riding with partially frozen feet.
I just use a windtrainer. I think you have to be crazy to use rollers. I have trouble chewing gum and walking at the same time.
But crashing on the rollers is an annual rite of passage, man!
At least you’re living on the edge by moving ’em away from the wall.
I ride a trainer but am terrified of rollers. I’m terrified of butter cookies, too, but that’s a different story.
Good job on the cookies. But I may still beat you and Jack to the 17 pound loss. I’m down 11!!! I walked past a whole table of cookies and other goodies yesterday and took a half cookie and a 1 inch square of chocolate cake.
